Indoor Location Ideas for Your Branding Photo Shoot in Charleston, SC

For your half day branding shoot, choosing an indoor location can feel overwhelming if you don’t have your own indoor space. If you feel this way, we hope you find this blog post to be helpful.

You have time to travel to up to 2-3 locations for your half-day branding shoot. This of course depends on the distance between the locations that you choose. We do not want to take away from photo shoot time, so a standard rule is to keep the different locations within 20 minutes of each other at the most.

For example, if you’d really like to take photos on the streets of Downtown Charleston (which many people do), consider choosing your indoor location portion of the shoot in Downtown Charleston as well. Or if you’d like part of your photo shoot to be outside at Folly beach, consider doing your indoor portion in a rental on James Island. Your photo shoot locations don’t necessarily need to be in the same part of town, but it certainly does help with time restrictions and traveling. And you will be less stressed. Trust us, you want this process to be as stress-free as possible!

As far as timing goes, secure your indoor location for at least 2 hours if you are only using it for a portion of your shoot. This will give us plenty of time to photograph there and not rush. We also recommend renting your indoor location anytime between 12 & 3pm, as this is the optimal time of day as far as lighting is concerned. Plus, if your second location is outside, the sunlight will not be as harsh past 3pm.
