Why Professional Product Photography is a Must for Your E-Commerce Business

Professional product photography is a MUST for your e-commerce business!

We were chatting with a client the other day in regards to how they have been focusing on their marketing in the last couple of years and updating all things antiquated, including their website, photos, logo, etc. Basically they have done an entire rebrand!

One thing that stood out to me during our conversation was him saying “We realized that we need to evolve with the times, otherwise, we are obsolete.”

BOOM! How true is that statement?!

For years, they had been marketing with photos that were so old, he didn’t even remember when they were taken. And ever since updating their photos, they have seen a significant increase in customers and therefore, sales!

This is why professional product photography is a must for your e-commerce business. Until you start marketing your business as a professional brand, people will not see you that way. Your professional e-commerce photos are one of the first ways in which you form a first impression with wholesalers and buyers.

How likely is a buyer or wholesaler to buy your product if you have old, poorly light images?

Not likely, if at all.

Think of it like this. You are looking for a financial advisor and have set up a meeting with a potential person to meet them for the first time and ask questions. You arrive to the meeting, dressed very well, and up walks your potential financial advisor in a sweatshirt and sweatpants! How would you feel about this person handling your finances versus someone dressed in a suit or business attire? First impressions are everything!

Same applies to your e-commerce business. When you have professional product photos, people will view you as a top-notch brand who knows what they are doing. If you are photos are of poor quality, people will see your product and brand as such.

Are you interested in hiring a product photographer but just don’t know where to start? We can help!
