How You Can Use Just a Handful of Branding Images to Market Your Business

You don’t necessarily need hundreds of images from your branding shoot to be able to market your business effectively.

Yes, you read that right!

How? The key word here is: strategy. With an excellent strategy, as few as 25 professional images will be enough to take care of all of your marketing needs for a long period of time.

Your strategy may look different from someone else’s, but when we think of strategy, we envision capturing at least five different types of photos during your branding shoot. These categories of images will provide you with enough variety so that they can be used all over your different marketing platforms without you feeling like you are being repetitive. Let’s walk through them, with example images from our photo shoot.

*Please note: the following is only applicable for service-based businesses. We will make another blog post for product-based businesses.

Number 1: The headshot. This image can be used for a variety of purposes, including on the “About Me” page of your website, in your email signature, and for magazine or article features. It is a very versatile image that many business owners cannot live without. Because if you have an unprofessional headshot, it can send the wrong first impression to your audience.

Number 2: The hero image. When someone sees this image, they will know exactly what you do. We like to call this the hero image because it shows you as the hero and is normally used as the main image on your website homepage. The hero image is also great to use on Facebook & Google ads because if it’s a true hero image, people will be able to understand what it is that you do immediately upon seeing it.

Number 3: The behind the scenes. Behind the scenes images are just that: showing what you do behind the scenes during your everyday work weeks. These types of images are great to use on your social media to help build trust with your followers. They are also great to use on your website.

Number 4: Working with clients. We love these images because they help your potential clients envision themselves working with you (picturing themselves as the “pretend clients” in your images). In addition to being excellent for social media, these images are great to use for educational purposes, such as worksheets or handouts that you hand your on-boarded clients.

Number 5: The unique image. This image shows what makes you unique compared to the other people serving in your profession. Even if you may offer the same type of service that someone else does, there is something unique about both your offering & you that makes you stand out from your competition. Capture that in your photos so that people will remember you in that way. This also helps build your brand too. These images can be used anywhere!
